Infinity-lash : Progress pics of growth of lashes

I have always had nice lashes naturally, however with all those make up removers, waterproof mascaras, harsh rubbing and tugging (I am guilty of these especially when I get sensitive to dust) I witness in despair my lashes dropping, and started to get sparse and uneven. Don't we all dream of full and even lashes, without the hassle of putting on fake ones? We spend hours with the messy glue and rather save our selves th embarrassing episodes of missing fakes lashes that seem to drop just at the wrong time!

Week 1: I want fuller and longer lashes

I found some strands are growing longer, but more importantly I could feel they are fuller. This only prove how potent the ingredients are. At Week 2, I feel I could see substantial difference and I am happy with the results. Ms Lavence Lim has been very caring to check on our progress as one of the main sponsor for Mrs Singapore 2013 pageant. Every week we keep each other updated with the progress, and Ms Lavence go extra length to emphasise on being careful during application and not to apply too much. Less is more. I took her advice and I am happy with the results I get!

It has always been a great pleasure to meet and be in her company. My mom taught me to be with positive people with positive minds, "you will NEVER go wrong". They say Mum knows best. I agree.

Another one of our dance rehearsal that requires dedication, hard work and passion. Even so, we managed to still have fun! Thank you to our awesome group of ladies that always made it and never fail to impress!

How to make your very own Derby Hat: DIY with step-by-step pics

As promised here I show the step by step pics of the hat that I meticulously and painstakingly did all by myself, for our Media Launch. The 'hat' that you have seen in my previous post, was not already as it seemed. These few pics you will get to see how I created this 'masterpiece' (I'd like to call it, as I had gone through quite a bit making it! LOL), from scratch. This masterpiece started out innocently enough as just an ordinary straw hat.

I was desperately looking for appropriate flowers to adorn it as the theme for our Media Launch was Enchanted Garden, and so it dawned upon me that I do have nice flowers arrangements at home. These once before some gorgeous table arrangements, were 'sacrificed' as I literally plucked out some of the flowers and glued them onto the hat! Mom was horrified at the state of those flower vases when I was doing this!

The first initial stage is done. I had experimented several ways to place this gorgeous (and costly) laces around the hat, and after some 'test drive' I realised I have to sew the laces on, for a safer and stronger hold onto the hat, especially that the flowers later will add more weight. I wouldn't want to have bits and pieces of these decorations to leave a trail while I do my catwalk on stage, would I?

Next challenge is to cover the hat's top. It was not easy since it is not a hard top, and the laces were difficult to align for the best coverage. Armed with a glue gun, I had the laces glued on, for double protection, even after stitching them on. Next, I sewed the flowers too. It was tricky on how the stems of orchids have to fall perfectly where I need them to, otherwise it will be in my face OR in other contestants' faces. I wouldn't want it either way.

My final touch was to add (and pluck more flowers from the arrangements at home, sorry Mom!) It was crucial that I made sure design is visible from all possible angles for the judges to see. It was quite heavy, but after numerous practices around the house, I was confident this will pull through quite smoothly and successfully!

Now with my masterpiece done, I have my new dress, immaculately done manicure (and pedicure, of course), winning smile and confidence, I head out for the Media Launch. Winning or losing is all part of a competition, but the most importantly you need to know you have tried your BEST. 

And of course, all the best I wished to all contestants, as we have all put in our best. Media Launch was a great success and in my next blog I will be featuring ALL the gifts we received during this wonderful event. I will try to post as many pics of the other contestants as well.
